Flexible Configurations

Straight Talk NE can be configured in three, primary ways:

 Local access - Dictation is downloaded to the system from each author's mobile digital portable recorder. Transcriptionists access voice files directly from the system - a system-connected headset and foot pedal provide local playback listening control.

 Telephone access - Optional telephone access offers dictators the convenience of phone-in dictation from any telephone, as well as remote transcription access using Dictaphone's Connexions Station, which includes a headset, a foot pedal control and program keys for frequently used functions.

The system can be accessed simultaneously by up to four telephone users for dictation/transcription.

 Network Access - Straight Talk NE can also offer increased access as a "client" on your Local Area Network. In this configuration, multiple transcriptionists can log onto the system from remote office locations, while dictators can upload dictated voice files from their Dictaphone mobile portable recorders at their PC workstations.

The Straight Talk NE system maximizes productivity by offering the following features:

 Dictaphone Walkabout 5210 Digital Portable offers USB download and DSS (Digital Speech Standard) compression technology that lets you upload voice files to your PC or laptop in seconds. This easy-to-use, professional digital recorder has a multi-function slide switch, clear LCD screen, and intuitive menu options with soft keys and standard multimedia card expandable memory for hours or recording capacity.

Features such as voice-activated recording, fast playback, dictate/conference mode and digital insert mode provide seamless, error-free dictation editing.

 Dictaphone Walkabout Ultra Digital Portable allows you to manage voice files in up to eight folders. Digital Insert lets you record edits or comments directly at the desired location in the voice file for seamless playback.

 Dictaphone Walkabout Express Digital Portable is a top-of-the-line recorder which includes an easy-to-use thumb wheel and a slide switch with large, intuitive graphical for maximum performance.
