"Living the experience of speech in your daily life"
In line with its vision to facilitate "living the experience of speech in your daily life", the Abu Dhabi-based Emerging Technologies will introduce the latest in speech recognition applications designed to simplify the nine to six daily activities of professionals living in the region.
At its Gitex stand A7-40 in hall 7, Emerging Technologies will demonstrate a complete portfolio of speech recognition and imaging solutions targeting various sectors, including financial, healthcare, travel, government and telecom. Solutions for office desktops and mobility will also be demonstrated using award-winning technology from Nuance, the world's leading supplier of speech and imaging solutions.
"Through our locally developed platform, we have incorporated Nuance's speech recognition solutions to fit the local requirements," said Mr. Sassine Mazraani, CEO of Emerging Technologies. "Our mission is to make life easier by allowing people to perform daily business activities through speech technology."
Through natural voice recognition, Emerging Technologies' solutions have enabled people to check stock prices at the Dubai Financial Market as well as flight arrivals and departures at Dubai Airport. Additionally, professionals can now dial-in their office to have their emails read to them electronically over the phone.
"Furthermore, we have developed applications that will allow doctors and lawyer to dictate their emails or journals and convert them instantly into text. Those applications come fully equipped to understand medical and legal terminologies," added Sassine.
"We are cementing our leadership in speech recognition at Gitex 2007 by showcasing our complete portfolio of products and services. We are also announcing major deals at Gitex with leading organisations that will help revolutionise their services to the public," concluded Sassine.
Gitex 2007 will run from 8-12 September 2007 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
